LEAF MOULD

Plastic bagfuls of leaves laid up last year are now about a third full of lovely black, wormy mould for mulching the garden. Turn it, removing twiggy bits or rubbish and adding anything not properly broken up to the compost. It’s worth starting a new bag now to make best use of the masses of leaves, deciduous and evergreen that this weird summer has whipped away. Use a large plastic, preferably black, bag
